Established in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
