SSH Telnet in Cloud Hosting
If you have a cloud hosting account with us and you want to deal with your content remotely using SSH, you can receive SSH access to the account using your Hepsia Control Panel. If your package doesn't include this feature by default, you may add it with several clicks from the Upgrades menu. Within the SSH section of the CP, you will see the host, the port number and the username that you should use when you connect to the account. You may also select what password you would want to use, as it does not need to be the same as the one for the account. We have prepared several Help articles in which you can find all the commands that you will be able to use with a shared hosting package, as well as examples of how they're used. Also, if SSH access is permitted for your account, you will be able to establish a Secure FTP (SFTP) connection using a standard client like FileZilla, for example.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Hosting
SSH access is available as standard with some of our semi-dedicated server solutions, while with others you can include it via the hosting Control Panel if necessary - even just for the current month. In either case, you can activate and de-activate the feature with one mouse click via the SSH section of the CP. In the same place, you will see the server name, the port number and the username required to connect to our platform. You shall also find a box where you could type the password that you would like to use, because it does not have to be the same as the one you use to log into the CP. For better protection, you can also change it as frequently as you require. A complete list of the commands that can be executed inside a semi-dedicated account is supplied in our Knowledge Base, alongside the syntax and a number of examples. An extra function after SSH access is allowed will be the ability to connect to your hosting space via SFTP through any FTP client that supports this sort of connections.
SSH Telnet in VPS
All our virtual private server solutions come with SSH access as standard, so you shall not need to include any upgrades or activate anything - the second the server is set up and you receive its login information, you'll be able to connect via its main IP address and the login credentials which you have selected throughout the signup process. Due to the fact that the VPS accounts include full root-level access, there aren't any restrictions regarding the commands that you could run. Your server shall be isolated from the other ones on the physical machine, so you shall be able to manage more or less everything via a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. That way, you can work with your files, databases and any apps you install in a fast and protected way.
